Marcos on Maundy Thursday: Leadership begins with service

MANILA — President Bongbong Marcos Jr on Maundy Thursday reiterated the importance of service.

"On this Holy Thursday, we are reminded that leadership begins with service," the President said in a social media post.

"Caring for others and putting their needs before our own," he added.

Marcos prayed for a meaningful Holy Week for Filipinos.

"May we carry this spirit with us in all that we do. A blessed and meaningful Holy Thursday to all," he said.

The President earlier said he was spending a few days in Ilocos Norte for the Holy Week.

But the Palace said this would not be a vacation as he would continue monitoring national issues.
