Dolor reported that around 1,700 families fled their homes due to the widespread flooding triggered by the shear line weather system.

He said many families were staying in evacuation centers while some chose to stay in their neighbors' homes.
All road networks in Oriental Mindoro are now passable and floodwaters in 41 barangays are already subsiding, he added.
There was power interruption in some towns in the province but it was restored immediately, Dolor said.
